Sr. Claims Handler

We are seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join our Financial Lines team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have experience in general liability and/or professional indemnity, managing complex claims from inception to settlement. You will provide technical expertise, ensure compliance, and support clients and stakeholders while mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of general liability and professional indemnity claims.
• Analyze and assess claims, ensuring timely and optimal resolution.
• Advise clients, brokers, and internal teams on coverage and claims issues.
• Work closely with underwriting to identify trends and enhance risk management.
• Mentor and support junior claims handlers.
• Maintain relationships with clients and service providers.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of claims handling experience, specifically in financial lines.
• Strong knowledge of general liability and professional indemnity claims.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Dutch.
• Ability to manage complex claims and meet deadlines.
• Professional qualifications (e.g., ACII) are a plus.
