SME BCBS 239 Data Governance

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a high-profile European institution? Our client, a leading consultancy, is seeking an experienced Data Governance & Compliance Consultant to support a major institution onsite in Luxembourg. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with remote working options available—but you must be willing to be onsite when required. This is a year long mission with the chance of extension.

The Role:

As a key part of the Data Governance team, you will ensure compliance with BCBS 239 regulations, drive data quality initiatives, and enhance risk data management processes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to improve data lineage, governance templates, and Business Objects reporting, ensuring high standards across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Data Governance & Compliance

• Oversee BCBS 239 compliance and ensure all regulatory data governance standards are met.
• Develop and maintain Business Data Lineage documentation.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for various initiatives.
• Define and compile data points and metadata to enhance consistency.
• Standardize processes through Data Governance Templates.

✅ Data Quality & Risk Management

• Implement and monitor data quality controls with data stewards.
• Align risk data management with internal quality standards.
• Develop and test BusinessObjects (BO) reports, including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

✅ Training & Process Improvement

• Provide training on data governance best practices.
• Maintain documentation standards and procedural guides.
• Offer ad hoc analytical and technical support as needed.

Who You Are:

✔️ Strong experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Regulatory Compliance (BCBS 239 preferred).
✔️ Proven ability to develop data lineage documentation, BRDs, and governance templates.
✔️ Skilled in data quality control implementation and risk data management.
✔️ Hands-on experience with BusinessObjects (BO) reports and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
✔️ Excellent stakeholder management and training abilities.
✔️ Based in Luxembourg or willing to travel onsite as needed.
