IT Audit Manager

About the Role

At JWC Search, we’re partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking Credit Union in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area to find a standout IT Audit Manager. In this role, you’ll take the lead in evaluating the Credit Union’s technology landscape from cybersecurity and data governance to IT general controls and system implementations. Reporting directly to the Director of IT Audit, you’ll be a strategic advisor to leadership, ensuring the organization’s technology risks are well-managed and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute IT audits, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, data privacy, and application controls
• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGCs) across critical systems and third-party vendors
• Assess compliance with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, FFIEC, GLBA)
• Partner with technology leaders to identify and mitigate emerging IT risks
• Develop audit programs tailored to IT-specific risks and evolving technologies
• Contribute to the annual audit plan and strategy in collaboration with the Director
• Supervise and mentor junior team members in the execution of technology audits

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or technology risk management
• Prior experience in financial services, banking, or credit unions is highly desirable
• Strong grasp of IT control frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., COBIT, NIST, FFIEC)
• Professional certification required (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or equivalent)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks for non-technical audiences
• High integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
