You would be responsible for the professional handling of engineering and construction insurance claims stemming from our international portfolio.

You will handle claims as either lead or coinsurer, varying in size and complexity, with the ability to assess technical coverage, evaluate exposures, and influence outcomes effectively in the market.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage claims of varying severity within defined authority, including coverage review, fact investigation, loss evaluation, and creating and executing resolution strategies.
• Establish and maintain appropriate indemnity and expense reserves in alignment with guidelines.
• Provide regular claims insights and input to internal stakeholders, supporting analysis on claims trends, emerging risks, legal, regulatory, and industry developments.
• Support underwriting teams with policy wording and risk assessments.
• Ensure accurate data for claims reporting and adhere to governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training and education activities, as well as regional and global projects.

About The Team
The claims team, based in Paris, consists of professionals with diverse expertise managing domestic and international claims across major lines of business. The role reports to the Head of Claims for the relevant regional division.

About You

• Degree in engineering or law, or equivalent insurance experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in claims or insurance within the construction sector.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.
• Enthusiastic learner, analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
• Skilled in litigation management and working with external attorneys.
• Knowledge of underwriting and other insurance functions.

Compensation
The offered salary will reflect the role’s complexity, the applicant’s qualifications, and relevant experience. In cases where requirements are not fully met or greatly exceeded, salary may be adjusted accordingly.

In addition to base salary, rewards may include performance-based annual bonuses.
