About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our reinsurance company in Zurich on a part-time basis (50-70%). This is a key role ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management while supporting the business with expert guidance. The position offers a hybrid working model (50/50 split between office and remote work), providing flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company complies with Swiss and international regulatory requirements relevant to the reinsurance sector.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory changes, advising the business on necessary actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the business in mitigating compliance risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Support in compliance reporting and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in data protection and anti-money laundering (AML) processes.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compliance within the (re)insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (e.g., FINMA) and international frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Fluent in English; German or another Swiss national language is an advantage.
