Project Manager HVDC cable

JCW are currently recruiting for a great opportunity to lead the development of a new team to cover the DACH region. The ideal candidate has specialist knowledge in one of the following fields; HV cables, Overhead lines, or Substations, and has experience working on Transmission Networks in the DACH region.

The candidate will work closely with and be supported by the existing power team in and will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Northern Germany

This opportunity is open to those with leadership experience or those looking to take the next step in their career.

• Support in business development activities (Tendering, Client presentations, developing technical capabilities of team)
• Act as lead engineer for new projects.
• Identify resource requirements and participate in building a new team
• Work closely with design teams ensuring designs are provided in compliance with local standards.

The candidate will be closely supported by the highly experienced team

The candidate must have experience in the production of or management of designs, calculations, reports, and drawings for HV power transmission systems, HVDC interconnectors, or

HV renewable energy infrastructure, in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

The candidate must have full working proficiency in both German and English.

The candidate must have specialist knowledge in one of the following areas; HV cable design, Overhead line design, and Substation Primary design.

An existing network of client contacts in the DACH region is a bonus, but not critical.
