About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Underwriter Cyber to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our underwriting division, you will be responsible for driving the profitable growth of our cyber insurance portfolio across international markets. You will play a critical role in shaping our cyber underwriting strategy, building strong client and broker relationships, and ensuring risk selection aligns with our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the cyber underwriting strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Underwrite complex cyber risks, ensuring sound risk selection, pricing, and portfolio management.

Work closely with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to develop innovative cyber insurance solutions.

Conduct in-depth risk assessments, analyse exposure data, and determine appropriate terms and conditions.

Maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats, regulatory developments, and market trends to refine underwriting guidelines.

Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and risk management teams to enhance underwriting models and product offerings.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior underwriters, fostering professional development and knowledge-sharing.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and panel discussions, enhancing our market presence.
Key Requirements

Proven experience in cyber underwriting within an international insurance or reinsurance environment.

Strong technical underwriting skills with the ability to assess complex cyber risks and exposures.

Solid understanding of cyber security, risk modelling, and regulatory frameworks impacting cyber insurance.

Excellent relationship-building skills with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Commercial acumen and strategic thinking to drive portfolio growth and profitability.

Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing junior underwriting talent.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.

Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Dutch or another European language is an advantage.
