Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Pricing, Actuary to lead our pricing strategy and actuarial function. This senior role is critical in shaping our competitive position in the international insurance market. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of innovative pricing models, ensuring that our pricing strategies align with the company’s overall objectives and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the pricing team, providing strategic direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop and execute the pricing strategy for various lines of business, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Model Development:
- Oversee the development and validation of sophisticated actuarial models to support pricing decisions.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods and data analytics to enhance pricing accuracy and competitiveness.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively integrated into business operations.
- Collaborate with regional teams to tailor pricing approaches for different markets.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all pricing practices comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and assess their impact on pricing strategies.

Mentorship & Development:
- Mentor and develop junior actuaries and pricing analysts, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional actuarial designation (e.g., FIA, FSA) is preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in actuarial pricing roles within the insurance industry, with a proven track record in leadership positions.
- Experience with international insurance markets is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in actuarial software and statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS, Python).
- Strong understanding of pricing techniques, risk assessment, and financial modeling.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
