This operational role focuses on monitoring and managing market abuse alerts and reporting findings to relevant authorities. As part of a dynamic team, you will conduct inspections, develop new compliance procedures, and ensure adherence to local regulatory frameworks. This position offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial instruments, including forex, OTC trades, swaps, bonds, equities, and derivatives, in a fast-paced international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage alerts from market abuse filtering tools, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities.
- Conduct detailed inspections and investigations to identify potential compliance breaches related to market abuse.
- Develop and implement new compliance procedures aligned with Luxembourg’s regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with local and international compliance standards, adapting procedures as needed to maintain market integrity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance compliance frameworks and promote a culture of regulatory awareness.
- Analyze transactions across various financial instruments (forex, OTC trades, bonds, equities, derivatives) to detect suspicious activities.
- Prepare and present reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, specifically in market integrity and market abuse within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including forex, OTC trades, swaps, bonds, equities, and derivatives.
- Proficiency in using market abuse filtering and monitoring tools, with experience in interpreting alerts and conducting follow-up actions.
- Solid understanding of Luxembourg's regulatory framework for financial services.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
